Plum blossoms. We were just a little bit early for the plum blossoms to have reached their peak in Kamakura. In southern Japan, now is the peak time for the plum blossoms. They aren't quite as spectacular as the cherry blossoms that will be starting a week or so from now and lasting for 2-3 weeks, but even the plums entice a lot of Japanese to travel and enjoy the beauty.
