| The covers on the tour boats is hinged in order to help duck below low bridges. It isn't necessary for the bridge shown here, but for other bridges, we needed to duck our heads until they were resting on the table in front of us. A couple of the bridges we went under were as low as the bridges we ducked under on a boat trip of the canals of Gothenburg in Sweden. We're here in the off-season, so there aren't many tourists here today. It's quite clear that Rob and I are one of the very few western tourists in Matsue today.
