This is the view out the restaurant window at lunch. We're on the shore of Lake Shinji, which is well-known for its beauty, especially at sunset. It's a mixed salt/freshwater lake, depending on the tide. There are seven delicacies harvested from the lake at various times of the year; the tiny clams that we had at lunch are one of them. (7/31)
