Here's another common sight in neighborhood gardens. I don't know what kind of plants are protected underneath the plastic, sorry. It can get cold here, despite being next to the Japan Sea: it snowed the weekend before I arrived. (Update: It also snowed a couple of inches the weekend after I left!) (7/26)
