Another shot of Rob and me with some Kitaro characters. Kitaro's creator, Mizuki, had a harrowing childhood: his mother loved to tell him scary stories. Combined with his experiences fighting for Japan in WW II, he had plenty of material to draw from. Later in his career, he became famous for travelling the world to gather folk tales of spirits and ghosts. Part of the museum displays a collection of masks that he has collected from the Pacific Islands, Asia, and Africa.
