This is the Sakaiminato ferry terminal. Regular and hydrofoil ferries run from here to the Oki Islands, about 1.5-4 hours to the north in the Sea of Japan (depending on which ferry you take). Rob hasn't been to the Okis, but they're a fairly popular tourist destination. Perhaps next visit. Find Daddy Eyeball in this picture. (13/28)
