There were a lot of displays inside the castle that I didn't take photos of, but I simply had to take this photo on behalf of my western cousins. (Hi Shannon and Stephanie!) Would you guess that these two items are saddle stirrups? You place your foot in them so they curl around your toes and top of your foot, looking almost like you're wearing a pair of really short skis. The metal loop attached the stirrups to the saddle.
